Board appointment of The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited

With close to 40 years of experience in public services, Mr LAM has been Chairman of the Airport Authority Hong Kong (“AAHK”) since June 2024. He is also member of the HKSAR Government’s Lantau Development Advisory Committee, The University of Hong Kong Council, and the Hong Kong - United States Business Council. In addition, Mr LAM is an Independent Non-executive Director of Wing Tai Properties Limited.

Prior to Mr LAM’s Chairmanship, he was the Chief Executive Officer of the AAHK from 2014 to 2024, during that period the three-runway system at Hong Kong International Airport was successfully commissioned. He joined the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) in 1986, a statutory body that enhances Hong Kong’s position as a global trade hub. He held a number of executive positions before being appointed Executive Director in 2004. Mr LAM has been appointed to various government and statutory bodies after taking up leadership of HKTDC.

In 2007, Mr LAM was named “Director of the Year” by the Hong Kong Institute of Directors in the category of statutory and non-profit-distributing organisations.
